When you apply for a HELP loan, you must have read the relevant booklet for your loan (e.g. the Information for Commonwealth supported students and HECS‑HELP booklet for a HECS‑HELP loan). When you sign your Request for Commonwealth assistance form, you are declaring that you have read and understood the booklet and your obligations if you access the loan scheme.
